FAQ
Questions organizers ask
Straight answers on cost, control, timing, your exhibitors, your data and the risk.
The basics
What is MorePerLead?
An outbound sales service for event organizers. We sell your unsold booths and sponsorships to companies that look like your exhibitors and to past exhibitors and sponsors who haven't rebooked, using the offer you set.
Who is it for?
Associations, professional societies and independent B2B conference organizers whose next edition is more than 90 days out and still has open inventory.
Is this a broker or a marketplace?
No. We don't sell your event to our own network and we don't run a sponsor marketplace. We contact prospects on your event's behalf, with your offer, and the sponsor books with you.
Where do the prospects come from?
Public exhibitor and sponsor directories for your past editions and for comparable events, plus any list you choose to share. You approve every company before outreach.
Cost and payment
What does it cost?
$0 up front and no monthly fee. 20% of what a sourced sponsor pays you in its first year, then 12% (10% on a 24-month agreement). Plus a one-time, non-refundable $299 registration fee (administrative set-up) per product ($299 for sponsors and exhibitors) when you sign up after the 15-day trial.
How does commission work after the first year?
20% of what a sourced sponsor pays you in its first year, then 12%, or 10% if you're on a 24-month agreement, for the length of your agreement. We always work under a signed agreement; if a 24-month agreement isn't canceled at the end of its term, it continues month to month at the same rates.
Isn't the $299 at odds with paying only for results?
No. The $299 is an administrative set-up and registration fee for your account and campaign, charged once when you sign up after the trial. It isn't a fee for results. The results-based part is the commission, which you pay only on sponsors who pay you.
What is the 24-month agreement?
A basic agreement in which you let MorePerLead run this for your event exclusively for 24 months. In return, commission after a sponsor's first year is 10% instead of 12%.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, if you're month-to-month: tell us and outreach stops within one business day. A 24-month agreement runs for its 24 months; if it isn't canceled at the end of its term, it continues month to month at the same rates.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you sign up, the non-refundable $299 registration fee (administrative set-up) applies and your pilot simply continues: same campaign, no restart. If you don't, outreach stops and you owe nothing except commission on sponsors who book from outreach already sent.
Is the $299 registration fee credited against commission?
No. It's a one-time administrative set-up fee, separate from commission, charged when you sign up after the 15-day trial.
Is the $299 registration fee refundable?
No. The $299 registration fee is non-refundable once charged, including if you cancel later. It is charged only if you sign up after the 15-day trial; if you stop during the trial, there is no fee.
When do I pay commission?
Only after a sponsor has paid you. We send the attribution list 7 days before the invoice; invoices are net 15.
Do sponsors pay you?
No. Sponsors pay you directly, the way they do today. We never handle sponsor payments.
What if a sponsor cancels or gets a refund?
The commission on that amount is credited back.
What counts as a sale?
A company that was on your approved list, received our outreach, and booked the campaigned edition within the attribution window, whether it replied to us or contacted your team directly. Companies you excluded never count.
Control and approvals
What do I approve?
The offer and prices, the list of companies, every message and follow-up, the sending option and sender name, and the price sheet and FAQ we use for routine replies.
Can I remove companies?
Yes, anyone, at any time before they are contacted. Removed companies are never billed.
Can I pause or stop?
You can pause outreach at any time. Month-to-month customers can also cancel at any time; outreach stops within one business day.
Timing
How fast does it start?
It depends mostly on how quickly you can approve the offer, list and messages. A new sending mailbox also needs about two weeks of gradual warm-up before it sends at full volume. That's why we work with events more than 90 days out.
When does the 15-day trial start?
On the day the first campaign email is sent, so setup time doesn't use up your trial.
Why not events inside 90 days?
Most exhibitors plan and budget months ahead, and a campaign needs time to warm up, send and follow up. Inside 90 days we usually can't make a difference, so we say no.
Your exhibitors and your brand
Who do my exhibitors hear from?
Your event. Messages carry your event's name, your offer and prices, and are signed by the staff contact you choose. Every email's footer carries your organization's legal name and postal address, and an opt-out; with the standard option it also says it is sent on your event's behalf by MorePerLead.
Why do you need our legal name and postal address?
U.S. law (CAN-SPAM) requires a valid postal address in every commercial email, and the footer names the organization the offer comes from. We ask for both when you start a trial and put them in every campaign email footer, next to the MorePerLead sender notice and the opt-out. A PO Box or registered private mailbox is fine.
Which address do the emails come from?
Your choice. Standard: a campaign mailbox we set up and operate, with a sender name you approve and a sent-on-behalf-of notice. Upgrade bonus, unlocked when you sign up after the 15-day trial: your own mailbox or a sending subdomain you delegate to us.
Can emails come from our own domain?
Yes. It's the upgrade bonus, unlocked when you sign up after the 15-day trial. It's arranged with us, not automated or self-serve: you sign a written sending authorization, your domain admin adds the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records we provide (usually on a subdomain such as sponsors.yourevent.org), and we warm the address up before it sends at volume. You can revoke it at any time.
Who answers replies?
We answer routine questions only from the price sheet and FAQ you approved. Anything custom, such as package changes, negotiation or invoicing, goes to your named contact.
How do exhibitors book?
With your team, through your usual contract and invoice. We don't offer online checkout or rebooking links.
What about opt-outs?
Every email has an opt-out. Opt-outs are processed promptly (never more than 10 business days) and cover every event your organization runs, so the person isn't contacted again for any of them.
Data and relationships
Who owns the data?
You own your lists, replies and bookings. We use them only to run your campaign and never sell or share them.
What happens when I cancel?
We stop outreach within one business day and delete your lists within 30 days unless you ask us to keep them. We keep only what we need for billing records and to honor opt-outs.
Will you contact my exhibitors for other events?
Not using your lists or replies. A company may still appear in other events' public directories, which we don't control.
Risk
What if nothing sells?
Then you owe no commission. If you cancel during the trial you owe no fee. Commission applies only if a sponsor who received trial outreach books and pays you.
What's the risk to our reputation?
Low volume, approved messages to an approved list, an honest sent-on-behalf-of notice, an opt-out in every email and automatic pauses if complaints rise. You can stop at any time.
Do you guarantee results?
No. MorePerLead is new and we don't claim results we haven't produced. The report shows your own numbers so you can judge the opportunity.
About MorePerLead
Who runs MorePerLead?
Jon Odalen, a former tech and AI leader with 20 years in enterprise B2B sales, based in Birmingham, Alabama.
How do I get in touch?
Use the contact form. We'll follow up by phone or video call within 4 hours of receipt. We don't publish an email address, to keep the site's forms independent of email.
Do I need a call?
No. The trial starts with a short form. If you'd like a call, ask for one on the form.
Still have a question? Ask us.
See it on your own event first
Start the trial with a short form. You approve the offer, the list and every message before anything is sent, and you owe no commission unless a sponsor pays you.
